Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch, a family-run enterprise established in 1987, aims to bring the farm to the city and celebrate Halloween’s mystery. When Becky and David Campbell first created the patch in Westwood, they were inspired by their farm in Silverton, Oregon, and were struck by how few options there were for kids in the Los Angeles area to experience farm life in an urban pumpkin field. To teach children more about nature and the environment while honoring Halloween’s more conventional aspects, Mr. Bones concentrated on creating a frightening, entertaining setting for families. The Pumpkin Patch Calabasas grew in popularity over time and eventually became a staple Christmas event in the area, attracting visitors from numerous neighboring southland settlements. Mr. Bones expanded, changing both ownership and location. That year, Lyra Marble, Becky’s daughter, took over the company’s management. Lyra managed the patch’s relocation to the boundary between Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, where it thrived for an additional nine years and earned a reputation as a hotspot for celebrities.

After leaving Hollywood, Mr. Bones established himself in Culver City, drawing crowds from the westside as far as Manhattan Beach and Calabasas, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu. Children look forward to coming to see us every year because they know they will experience the fun and excitement we have provided to Southern California for the past thirty years. Every winter, Doug worked on a nearby Christmas tree lot during his teenage years. He developed a strong work ethic and a love of Christmas trees.

Forneris Farms: We grow and gather the pumpkins, which are then abundantly displayed inside the Pumpkin Patch for you to choose your favorites for the next season. There is no entrance fee to the Farm Market, where you may purchase veggies, winter squash, and fall decorations. Hours for the train ride and corn maze vary.
